Description

This Map Mug uses the 1919-1926 Cassini/Ordnance Survey Popular Edition mapping which was produced after the 1st and before the 2nd World Wars, and became the first OS map to be published in full colour and high ground was displayed using more precise contours rather than hill shading.

These maps were published at a time when the number of motor cars being used was growing substantially and if a car was too expensive people used bicycles instead, so the new mapping had to reflect the increased road usage and contained different coloured routes indicating the suitability for motor traffic.

You choose the central location of the map - with this mug, there are no additional messages available, the feature is the map, wrapped around the entire mug.

You need to supply a current postcode from anywhere on Great Britain mainland, in England, Wales and Scotland.

Locations in Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man cannot be used - which means any postcodes starting with BT, GY, JE or IM are not available.

The mug will be supplied with the local mapping around your specified postcode.
