Moving to a new home can be one of the most significant times of your life - or even moving away if you've been there for many years!
Whatever the reason, if you would like to record the location on a map centralised with the address, and finished off with printing the first line of the address and the postal town below the map - this will be your ideal choice of a gift either to yourself or perhaps as a housewarming or anniversary present for someone special.
There is a choice of four map styles with differing areas covered, plus a choice of three frames to complement this special map - black, ivory or beech. See the images for examples.
The size is 47.5 x 36.5cm (approx 19 x 15 inches).
Map styles available with the areas covered by each are:
Ordnance Survey® Landranger® Mapping (1:50,000) - Shows just under 9 miles square. A very good style for rural areas and small villages. Colourful with lots of detail. Excellent general-purpose local mapping - not as large a scale as the Explorer® maps generally used for walking but the Landranger mapping does show the main footpaths as well as roads and tracks so it's a multi-purpose map, and with a smaller scale will cover a larger physical area than the equivalent specialised walking map. Very useful to thoroughly get to know an area. Covers all of mainland Great Britain (England, Wales & Scotland).
Ordnance Survey® Explorer® Mapping (1:25,000) - Shows 4.4 square miles. This map base is twice the scale of the Landranger mapping and is the series that walkers or hikers use, as all footpaths, public rights of way, access land, contours and parish boundaries are clearly shown in very great detail. This choice is even more appropriate for rural areas. All of mainland Great Britain can be used with Explorer mapping (England, Wales & Scotland).
Aerial Photography (1:3,650) - Shows 2.1 square miles. This is essentially aerial photography rather than mapping, showing your selected location from above. Produced with the UK's leading supplier of aerial photos and their database contains over 200,000 individual images. The planes fly at an average height of 4,000 feet, and the most up to date images will be used. Covers England & Wales only, not available for Scotland. Helpful for a new perspective on your local area!
Bartholomew street level London mapping (1:12,000) - Shows 2.2 square miles. The supplied map base is from the old established Bartholomew mapping company which has been providing good quality street mapping of London for years. There are clear street names, plus all the extra detail you would expect such as tube stations, schools, parks etc. Covers all the postcodes within the M25.
